Danny “Dan” Clinton Miner, 63, of Cottage Grove, Ore. passed away on April 12, 2021. He was born in Eugene, Ore. on October 26, 1957 to parents Henry and Ida (Crawford) Miner. After graduating from high school he began his career working for Bob Mullins Trucking. He worked for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and most recently as a fleet manager for Koos Transportation. He married Kathy Thweatt, they later divorced. He married Lynn Jones on December 10, 1988 in Lake Tahoe, Nev. Dan enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, and singing. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Miner, Cottage Grove; daughter, Casey Graves and husband Tony, Cottage Grove; son, Michael Jenkins and wife Kari, Creswell, Ore; daughter, Jennifer Hand and husband Denver, Gilchrist, Ore; son, Danny Miner Jr., Eugene; daughter, Sarah Brown and husband Travis, Tacoma, Wash; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A visitation was held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove. A funeral was held April 17, 2021 at Smith-Lund-Mills followed by interment at Brumbaugh Cemetery, Cottage Grove.
