James Loren Carver (Jim), 87, of Cottage Grove, Ore. passed away on March 24, 2021. Jim was born on September 3, 1933 to Loren and Mildred (Hallmark) Carver of Baker City, Ore. Jim married Stanlyn Johnson in 1952 in La Grande, Oregon. Together they had four children. On November 24, 1983, Jim was remarried to Linda Potter in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jim ran a barbershop in Cottage Grove from 1952–1968. He also worked for Weyerhaeuser until his retirement in 1985. He loved hunting, fishing, gold dredging and listening to country music.
Jim is survived by his four sons: Robert (Tamara) Carver of Santa Cruz, Calif., Bradley (LeAnn) Carver of San Antonio, Texas, Kevin (Joyce) Carver of Cottage Grove, and Charles (Katrina) Carver of Alsea, Ore., along with nine grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Stanlyn Carver, and his wife Linda Carver (Potter). Arrangements in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove, Ore.
