Eleanor LaVonne Nash, 94, of Cottage Grove, Ore. passed away March 22, 2021. She was born to parents Elmer and Clara Alice (Ferber) Young on June 20, 1926 in Yankton, S.D. Eleanor was a homemaker and flower shop owner. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, her horses shown by trainers, cooking (famous for her pancakes), and cake decorating. She was a member of the California Tree Farmer Association, California State Horsemen’s Association, American Paint Horse Association, and the American Quarter Horse Association.
Eleanor married Wilber Nash on March 16, 1945 in Winlock, Wash. She is survived by daughter Joyce Haymes of Cottage Grove, Ore., son Gary (Valerie) Nash of Creswell, Ore., daughter Lisa (Gary) Huddle of Cottage Grove, Ore; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Wilbur and grandson Wilbur Gene Huddle. A private family graveside will be held at Fir Grove Cemetery, Cottage Grove, Ore. Arrangements in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove.
