Robert “Bob” Armor, 91, of Cottage Grove, Ore. passed away March 17, 2021 with his wife Donna by his side.

Bob was born Jan. 25, 1930 in Santa Monica, Calif. to parents Edgar and Lucille (Grieve) Armor. He was living in Venice, Calif. until he married Donna and her two boys in 1965. Bob graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and served in the United States Air Force for four years. He retired after 35 years from Rockwell International which is now Boeing.

Bob and Donna moved to Cottage Grove in 1999 to be close to their son Pat and his family. Bob was an amazing dad and husband. He was a devoted family man who always put others ahead of himself. Every single person who crossed paths with Bob was truly richer for it.

He loved to play golf and was an avid fan of UCLA sports, especially basketball (sorry Ducks). Bob sang in church choirs since he was a teenager. He played the hand bells at the First Presbyterian Church. He will be missed!

Bob is preceded in death by son Patrick Hampton, his parents, and sister Patricia Sprague. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Donna; son Kevin (Kimmy) Hampton and Lynn Hampton; daughter Linda (Gary) Ray; niece Kathy Lonskey; grandsons; Chris, Kyle and Corey Hampton, Garrett Ray; and several great-grandchildren. We are grateful for the loving care provided by Signature Hospice and the Visiting Angels.
