Thomas Lambert Boone Sr, 91, of Springfield, Ore. peacefully passed away March 5, 2021. He was born Sept. 23, 1929 to William Lambert and Sadie Elsie Boone in Hot Springs, Ark.
He served as an automobile mechanic in the United States Navy from November 1947 to March 1950 and received the China Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
He married his lifelong love Carolyn Ann Barnwell on June 30, 1949, and welcomed children Thomas Lambert Jr. (1952) and Tamara Lynn (1955). He served the Lord faithfully throughout his life and at the time of his death was a member of First Baptist Church in Eugene.
Thomas Sr. was preceded in death by both parents, his loving wife Carolyn, and his siblings Richard Boone, Evelyn Amaya, Pat Henderson, Leroy Boone and John Riley Boone, as well as his grandson Nathan Boone.
He is survived by his two children and their spouses: Thomas L. Boone (Susan Boone) and Tamara L. Flanders (William Flanders), four of his siblings: Lona Garton, Betty Monroe, Howard Boone and Daniel Boone; and his grandchildren Crystal Hatfield, Cortney Boone, Jeremy Ascheri and Bethany Encina; and his great-grandchildren Kelan Andre and William Beller, as well as many nieces and nephews.
