Dorothye ‘Suzanne’ Kloehn: Dec. 16, 1945 – Feb. 24, 2021

Dorothye ‘Suzanne’ Kloehn died at home with the care of hospice and surrounded by family and friends on Feb. 24, 2021.

Suzanne was born in Cottage Grove, Ore. to Robert and Dorthye Conner of Lorane, Ore. She was the third of five children. She attended Lorane Christian Church and went to Lorane grade school and graduated from Crow High School in 1963 for her early education. Suzanne then went on to Oregon State University to graduate in 1967 with a teaching degree that she used to teach first grade after her marriage to Danial Schwarzer in 1965. She went on to teach in the Washington D.C. area, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Phoenix, Ariz., before returning to Oregon.

She is survived by her husband JR Kloehn and brothers, Ramon and Richard Conner, both of Veneta, and a sister, Judy Bryant, of Ireland, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Robert Conner.

Suzanne had a vibrant love for flowers and loved to work in her large garden regardless of the weather even after contracting her first round of cancer in early 2015 that was in remission only to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2019.

She had an even greater passion for cats that at one time numbered 27. She also had a great appreciation for music and played the clarinet in the high school band and regretted she never learned to play the piano.
