Traude Magdalina Ohler, 89, of Cottage Grove, Ore. passed away Jan. 17, 2021. She was born to parents Paul and Magdalina Herring on March 15, 1931 in Frankenberg, Germany.
Traude graduated high school in Germany. She married Andy Johansson in 1955, they later divorced. She then married Karl Ohler in Mission Hills, Calif. in 1968. Karl passed away in 2006; they were married 52 years.
Traude worked for Newberry’s in the 1950s and then she went into banking – first with Bank of America, and then for the U.S. Bank Eugene branch in 1969, where she retired.
She also taught ballroom dancing with Karl at Lane Community College. Traude loved toll painting, camping, salmon fishing with Karl, cooking and spending time with her family.
Traude is survived by her son, Michael Johansson of Cottage Grove, and three grandchildren.
There will be no services held at this time.
