Lois Fix was born June 10, 1933 to Harold R. and Avis A. Dawley in Osbourne, Kansas. Lois went home to be with the Lord Dec. 25, 2020 in Cottage Grove, Oregon at age 87. She lived a full and blessed life.
Lois grew up in Dorena, Oregon and later in Cottage Grove. She attended Dorena Grade School, Jefferson Middle School and Cottage Grove High School where she was Miss Cottage Grove her senior year. Cottage Grove remained special to Lois throughout her lifetime and was where she met the love of her life, Bob Fix. They married Aug. 23, 1952. It is also where they lived most of their married life and raised the joy of their lives, daughter Jami.
Lois was a loving and gifted person. Her diverse interests are evident in her many jobs including babysitting, working at the Cottage Grove Theater, working for Dr. Oberg in billing, bookkeeping and as his receptionist. Working for Full Cycle Bookkeeping, at Pioneer Hardware as bookkeeper, the Cottage Grove Nazarene Church and eventually retiring from the Cottage Grove School District.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Fix, father Harold Dawley, Mother Avis Dawley (Stansfield) and sister Janet. She is survived by her daughter Jami and her daughter’s husband Howard, as well as by her sister Pat Williams and many nieces and nephews. She will always be loved and remembered.
