Meet the staff at Therapeutic Associates Creswell Physical Therapy

Josh with TACPT

Therapeutic Associates Creswell Physical Therapy (TACPT), located at 170 Melton Road, is individualized for one-on-one care and offers treatment plans targeted to each patient’s needs and developed based on individual goals. It’s always a perk to know the people who make a business tick, so meet the staff at TACPT:

JOSH
Josh is the Clinic Director and a Physical Therapist at both Therapeutic Associates Gateway and Therapeutic Associates Creswell. Josh grew up in Grants Pass and attended the University of Oregon for his undergraduate work, where he studied human physiology. Following undergrad, Josh moved to Palm Springs and went to PT school at Loma Linda University.
Josh’s specialties and areas of interest within physical therapy include manual therapy, vestibular and dizziness rehabilitation, return to sport rehab, ASTYM and cupping, and office ergonomics. He is also a Titleist Golf Medical Professional. Josh has been a PT for eight years and his drive toward a career as a physical therapist was inspired by his personal experience rehabbing injuries during his high school and college athletic career.
Josh and his wife, Kari have two kids, Ella and Griffin, and a rambunctious dog named Bernie. Josh’s favorite activities include golfing, hiking, fishing and playing basketball. Though Josh is a man of many talents, a lesser-known talent of his is the ability to clap with one hand.
A few of Josh’s favorite memories of 2017 include going on his first cruise to celebrate his dad’s 70th birthday with family and rescuing Bernie, the newest addition to their family – a terrier mutt that is a 10-pound ball of energy.
In 2018, Josh is striving to continue to foster growth in his satellite clinic in Creswell and to better serve that community. Further, Josh hopes to run another half marathon this year, catch a ton of winter Steelhead, and break 80 in a round of golf.

KELSEY
Kelsey is on the front office staff for both Therapeutic Associates Gateway and Therapeutic Associates Creswell. Kelsey was born in Coos Bay but grew up in Eugene and lived in Corvallis for a few years while attending Oregon State University. During undergrad Kelsey majored in exercise and sports science with an option in pre-therapy and allied health.
Kelsey is currently in the application and interview process for graduate schools, where she wishes to continue her studies to become a pediatric occupational therapist. Kelsey’s future career goals are to work with children who have physical and/or cognitive disabilities.
In her job at TAI, Kelsey is focused on patient interaction and loves to hear stories that patients wish to share with her.
During her free time, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Jason and dreaming about the corgi puppy they will own together some day. Kelsey also loves spending time watching cute corgi videos.
Kelsey’s hobbies and interests that are unrelated to her corgi obsession include traveling, camping, mountain biking, hiking, running, snowboarding, hammocking, and enjoying time with friends and family. In addition to all of Kelsey’s outdoor activities, she can ride a unicycle and used to ride a 6-foot unicycle.
Kelsey’s favorite memory of 2017 was when she took almost an entire month off work to travel to Israel and Hawaii. In 2018, Kelsey’s goals include getting accepted into an occupational therapy graduate school and learning sign language.

ALAINA
Alaina is on the front office staff for both Therapeutic Associates Gateway and Therapeutic Associates Creswell. Alaina grew up in Central Point, Oregon and moved to Eugene in 2014 to attend Northwest Christian University. While at NCU, Alaina studied psychology and was on the women’s basketball team for two years.
In the future, Alaina wants to further her education in psychology and women’s studies with the goal of becoming a licensed clinical mental health counselor. Alaina’s career goal is to be a practicing counselor with a focus on trauma counseling. Alaina is currently taking a gap year to work and travel a bit before beginning graduate school.
In her position with TAI, Alaina loves to connect with patients as they establish care, share their stories and progress through their plan of care.
In her free time Alaina loves to go hiking and camping, and enjoys traveling and taking spontaneous day trips. Alaina loves to read, write, try new restaurants and coffee shops, and she is known for her excessive coffee drinking habits.
Alaina’s favorite memories of 2017 were the many day trips she took to go hiking with friends and running a 10k with her dad in Bend. Alaina also reached one of her goals by finishing college with honors when she graduated in December with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Alaina’s goals for the new year are to run another 10k, hike South Sister this summer and begin the application process for graduate school.
