David John Timm, 78, of Creswell, Oregon, passed away September 9, 2020. David was born Tuesday, August 11, 1942, in Spring Valley, Wisconsin, to parents Harlan and Rosemary (Cassel) Timm. He graduated in 1960 from Farmington High School in Wisconsin. After graduation David joined the United States Air Force in 1960 and he served as an E-3 for 4 years. David became Linda Jean Wines’ Prince Charming on November 11, 1984, in Reno, Nevada. David picked Veterans Day to marry Linda, so he would not forget their anniversary.
David worked most of his life in insurance sales. He retired from Farmers Insurance in Cottage Grove April of 2020. David loved working on their tree farm in Creswell and raising their miniature donkeys and emu. His greatest joy in life was raising his granddaughter and being with his family. David is survived by his loving wife Linda of 36 years; granddaughter Brianna Waleke, of Springfield, Oregon; sister Sandy Allard of Michigan; brother Joel (Lavonne) Timm of Port Hueneme, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, September 24 at 2 o.m. at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove.
