Mark Linn Lanzarotta

Mark, 57, passed away March 19, 2020, at his home on Hamm Road where he has lived for 20-plus years. Mark was born in Denver, Colorado, to Phillip and Velvet Lanzarotta. 

He is the 3rd child of 5 — his siblings are Suzette, Phillip, Robyn and Kris. Married to wife Beth (worked many years at Safeway in Cottage Grove) and one son, Eric Woosley of Redfield, Iowa.

Mark graduated from Tracy High School in Tracy, California. Was a chef for many years and went to culinary school in Vancouver, Washington, and Mt. Hood college in Gresham, Oregon, with a forestry degree. He worked for the U.S. Department of Forestry. Started in Placerville, California, on the Eldorado National Forest. Relocated with them to Mt. Hood National Forest at Zig Zag, Oregon. There, he was foreman for the timber cruising department, fought fire with the Hot Shots, and worked many other departments through the years. 

Moving to Creswell in 1999 with his wife, Beth, Mark had Camas Swale Window Washing in the Creswell and Cottage Grove area. The last 8 years he and his wife have run the Lanzarotta Bed and Breakfast on Hamm Road.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, at 2 p.m. It will be held at Daune Coop’s Ranch. Location is 28685 Gowdyville Rd. Located 1.3 miles east of the Territorial Hwy. and Gowdyville Rd. intersection, 2.5 miles south of Lorane. The family requests that those attending please wear a mask.
