Mary Lou Wilkinson, age 87, joined her heavenly family on June 30, 2020, due to natural causes. Mary Lou was born on July 22, 1932, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Mazie and Ronald Stewart. Mary married the love of her life and soulmate, Thomas L. Wilkinson on April 23, 1949. Tom preceded her in death in September of 1997.
Mary Lou was an amazing woman of many talents and interests. Some of her favorite hobbies were playing the piano, playing poker, reading, crocheting, and needlepoint.
Although Mary Lou had various jobs outside her home, her most treasured job was being a mother to her four sons. Her sons were her world and they all loved her immensely.
Mary is survived by her four sons and their families: Thomas and his wife, Vickie; Steve and his wife, Carolyn; Russell and his wife, Sandra, and Michael. Mary also had six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her three sisters: Donna Mauro; Ella White and her husband Harry; and Patricia McDonald. Her brother Harry Haacke preceded her in death.
Please join us in celebrating Mary’s life at the Parkway Christian Center, 229 N.E. Beacon Drive, Grants Pass, Oregon, on July 18, 2020, at 10 a.m.
A private ceremony will take place at a later date to scatter Mary’s ashes. In lieu of flowers please donate to a local charity of your choice. Arrangements in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel.
