A Cottage Grove woman died in a car accident on Highway 99 near Creswell on Thursday, May 21, according to Oregon State Police.
John Farrell, 42, of Cottage Grove, was reportedly driving northbound on Highway 99 when he crashed into a wooden fence near milepost 5 around 2:10 a.m. Farrell was transported to River Bend Hospital. The passenger, Elizabeth Slagley, 31, of Cottage Grove, sustained fatal injuries, police said.
OSP was assisted by Lane County Sheriff’s Office and ODOT.
