AROUND THE LEAGUE

CHEER – Santiam Christian won its 13th state title at the OSAA Cheerleading State Championships on Saturday, Feb. 15. Santiam won 10 of their titles consecutively from 1995 to 2004 and have started a new streak by winning back-to-back titles in 2019 and 2020.
WRESTLING – At the OSAA 3A Special District 3 Boys Regionals, Santiam Christian took first place, Scio ended in second place and Sutherlin placed third out of the 10 teams in SD-3. Santiam Christian had eight student-athletes qualify for state and even though Pleasant Hill didn’t finish in the Top 3 as a team, they tied with Scio for the second-highest number of athletes to qualify for state, at seven athletes apiece.
GIRLS BASKETBALL – Pleasant Hill has a two-game lead over Santiam Christian in the Mountain Valley Conference with two games left in the regular season. The Billies travel to Santiam Christian….
