COTTAGE GROVE – Inspired by the European Christmas markets from the late Middle Ages, the Village Green Christmas Market at 725 Row River Road is an ”open air” outdoor holiday market that offers festive food and drink – namely traditional German brats, fresh baked goods, and Glühwein, a traditional German hot spiced wine.
Open from 5-9 p.m. most nights through Dec. 31, Santa will be on site every night the market is open with free photo opportunities.
The vendor market offers local talent, including works by Kay Beckham, a Creswell painter; Chainsaw art by Jay Pappard; wreath and floral arrangements by Patton’s Country Gardens; one-of-a-kind dichroic marbles and pendants and sculptures made by Mod Marble Glass; and handmade baby blankets made by local artist Tessie Ourada.
Coming up this weekend:
Friday through Sunday, Dec. 6-8, live reindeer will be onsite from 5-9 p.m. Visiting the reindeer is included with event admission.
Friday, Dec. 6: Sweet Adelines will perform from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 7: Eugene Children Choir will perform from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 8: Jay Fraiser Magic, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
