Halloween a real ‘treat’

Families keeping it local for Halloween were in for a real treat as they trick-or-treated, with at least six events in Creswell on Oct. 31 where kids met up with friends, showed off their costumes, played games and raked in the candy. Children were encouraged to attend the library’s morning storytime in costume; City Hall staffers – most in costume – doled out candy and small toys; Creswell Health and Rehabilitation Center residents and staff welcomed trick-or-treaters; the Creswell High School Music Program held its third annual Safe Halloween courtyard carnival, and cars lined the school’s side parking lot for trunk-or-treat; the Creswell VFW Post and Auxiliary hosted their annual Safe Halloween, featuring games, candy and home-baked goodies; and Hillside Church wrapped the evening with their annual Trunk-or-Treat.
