CRESWELL – During a fundraiser dinner held Oct. 18 in the Creswell High School commons, guest speaker Elizabeth Harter, at left, of Creswell, shares her family’s experiences utilizing respite care, preschool and parenting classes through the Creswell Family Relief Nursery, a satellite of FRN of Cottage Grove, which works to prevent child abuse and neglect by building on families’ strengths while shoring up weaknesses. The event, which featured a Silent Auction, Taco Bar buffet, Dessert Dash, raffle, an educational slideshow and live music by student musicians, raised about $11,000 to support FRN, reported executive director Peggy Whalen.
