Doris Jeanne Capps
Doris Jeanne Capps, 77, of Creswell, Oregon, passed away on Sept. 26, 2019. She was born on June 13, 1942 in Coquille, Oregon, to Monroe and Ruth Spurgeon.
Doris worked as a legal secretary in Springfield, Oregon until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling and had traveled to many different countries throughout her life, mostly in the last 10 years. She loved going to her grandsons’ sporting events and went to as many as she possibly could over the years. She loved sports, especially baseball, and took all of her grandsons to Mariners games as they were growing up, and loved talking sports with them.
Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Pete Apo, of Creswell; her son, James Capps of Cottage Grove; four grandsons: Ryan Beltran of San Diego, Andrew Beltran of San Diego, Cade Apo of Creswell and Kai Apo of Creswell.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Spurgeon in August 2018.
