Lady Dawgs net key volleyball win

It took a five-game battle on the road, but the Creswell Lady Bulldogs got the job done, defeating defending 2A state champion Portland Christian, 25-18, 18-25, 25-23, 25-27, 15-10 in an important nonleague volleyball match on Tuesday, Sept. 3.Portland Christian was ranked No. 2 in 2A, so the win should have a lasting positive effect on Creswell’s state RPI this season.“This was an important game for us,” said Creswell Head Coach Anna Baltrusch.Breanna Dapron paced the Lady Dawgs with 22 kills. Kylee Whitson had four stuff blocks and served four aces, Sarah Lanz scooped a herculean 35 digs, Makaela Sieber had four key blocks and Jenessa Mallory provided 25 assists.
