CHS 1959 reunion

Sam and Pam Lunas (and James Dean) at the Creswell High School Class of 1959 reunion. Kay Higdon

Approximately one-third of the Creswell High School Class of 1959 were able to come together for their 60th reunion in late July. They enjoyed a dinner on a sultry Saturday night, catching up on each other’s lives and doings.
One couple came from Baker City, with two guests. Another class member took time away from his busy ranch and rodeo life to eat a nice skirt steak. One class member sadly brought everyone up to date on those who had passed away. She had the contact list and called or visited as many as she could, to make sure they understood the importance of seeing classmates from 60 or more years ago.
The class is now small enough that anyone who attended school in Creswell from the first grade forward, even those who joined the service and didn’t graduate with the class, were entirely welcome. A couple of men wore their 50th red t-shirts and had a few stories to add to the mix.
