Safety First! Wearing his ”hard hat” – one of the freebies for kids at the event–a young boy tries his hand at ”operating” a John Deere mower with an articulating arm for mowing ditches and brush during Public Works Day on July 25 at Holt Park. Hundreds of people checked out Creswell Public Works Department equipment, watched demonstrations on how the city’s main water line and 232 fire hydrants work, toured the city’s water and wastewater treatment plants and enjoyed free food courtesy of Sanipac and free Kona Ice shaved ice during the City of Creswell Transportation and Public Works Committee’s Public Works Day.
