The 31st Annual Spring Clean Up — an opportunity to recycle items such as old freezers, refrigerators, scrap lumber, metal and other large or hard-to-recycle items — is scheduled for Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1600 S. B St. in Springfield.
Items that cannot be accepted include loads in enclosed vehicles, such as moving trucks, paint, household garbage, chemicals, fluorescent lights, car parts, or oversized items such as hot tubs and boats.
This free event is exclusively for City of Springfield residents within city limits. Proof of residency will be required. No businesses.
