Gary Bryce Olsen passed away on April 25, 2019 at the age of 82. He was formerly from Creswell, until he moved to Eugene three years ago.
Born on Nov. 5, 1936, Bryce was the second child of seven, born to Murrel and Alta Olsen.
Bryce retired as a captain from the Eugene Fire Department. Throughout his life, Bryce also worked as a dairyman; a farmer; a rancher; a logger; a Weyerhaeuser employee; and was an installer of Central Vacuum Cleaner Systems for homes. Bryce also served in the National Guard.
Bryce had three daughters and raised one step-daughter. He had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bryce was well known for unselfishly helping many people throughout his lifetime.
There will not be a local funeral service held.
