Board dismisses complaint, votes to respond

During the April 10 school board regular meeting, the school board held an executive session at 8:09 p.m. to consider the dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or agent. The executive session is held pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(b).

After executive session ended at 8:35 p.m., the board voted on items discussed during the session.
Board Director Lacey Risdal moved to dismiss the complaint from March 6, 2019 and for the Board Chair to send a response to the complainant. Board Director David Eusted seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
”Thank you for having conversations with our attorney about this,” Risdal said to Board Director Natalie Smathers.
