Good ‘Fry’day and Easter ‘Yum’day in the Valley

For many, Easter Sunday entails family get-togethers, egg hunts, and the Easter Bunny. But what would Easter Sunday be without delicious food thrown in there, too? In Southern Lane County, residents need not hunt very far for great dining options, for they lie right in their own backyard.
Hilltop Bar & Grill off Highway 58 in the Pisgah Public Market will be open regular business hours on Sunday, April 21, and will feature their standard delicious Pacific Northwest-inspired menu. Besides their normal menu composed of soups and salads, sandwiches and amazing entrées, they’ll also be offering special Easter menu items. Don’t forget about their beer on tap, wines, cider and cocktails! Hilltop Bar & Grill is a great place to spend the holiday for individuals, couples and families.

Also in Pisgah Public Market is Espresso 58, Operated by Blue Valley Bistro. While Espresso 58 and Blue Valley Bistro may not be open for Easter Sunday itself, they will be open for Good Friday and the Saturday before for normal business hours. Espresso 58 is the perfect stop for those traveling to spend time with friends and family. Stop by, grab a coffee, sandwiches and other goodies, and be sure to spread the joy this Easter. On Saturday, April 20, Espresso 58 is taking part in a fundraiser for Pleasant Hill High School. All day, a percentage of their sales will help finance Pleasant Hill High School students’ Senior Night.
And, if you find yourself in Creswell, there’s no better place to be than at Blue Valley Bistro on Friday, April 19. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Blue Valley Bistro is hosting four entrepreneurs and their companies. LuLaRoe, a comfortable and stylish clothing company, Young Living Essential Oils, Origami Owl, the makers of custom jewelry and Color Street press on nails, will make appearances. This pop-up boutique is free to enter and is sure to have something for everyone.

Creswell Bakery will be open on Easter Sunday and features delicious and farm-fresh lunch menu items from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. While they are still working out their Easter brunch menu, in the past, customers have enjoyed comforting biscuits and gravy and cooked-to-perfection corned beef hash. Arrive early on Sunday, because Creswell Bakery is one of the most popular stops in Creswell!

In Cottage Grove, Axe & Fiddle has quite the lineup for the month of April. On Friday, April 19, Conflicts with Caribou featuring Sam Weber is at 8:30 p.m. This event is free to enjoy and features beautifully written and performed songs mixed with magical storytelling. Then, on Saturday, April 20, Nick & Luke will perform free of charge at 8:30 p.m. This duo, offering a unique mixture of jazz and rock music, has toured the country and will sure to please customers enjoying their dinners.

The Brewstation, on South 6th Street in Cottage Grove, is another popular watering hole for Cottage Grove and Creswell residents. Open normal business hours from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Easter Sunday, The Brewstation has a delicious menu from which customers can enjoy. Whether you’re in the mood for lunch, dinner or a delicious and locally crafted drink, The Brewstation will surely satisfy.
On Friday, April 19, Grover Anderson will perform his classic Americana music from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Then, on Saturday, April 20 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., Robert Meade will play his Beatle’s Sing-a-long for all to join in.
No matter your preference, Southern Lane County has plenty to choose from this month. Whether it’s breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, residents and those passing through will have something that fills their bellies and their souls.
