Coast Fork Kiwanis received $62,000 from the previous Stovall Fund to invest with the CG Community Foundation – “our soon-to-be-realized 501(c)(3) fund,” said club president Donald Ehrich.

With COVID-19 self-isolation guidelines still in effect, Kiwanis meetings are not being held, but the club continues to seek sponsors for its annual Stovall Golf Tournament.
Getting the tournament planned and sponsored “is now more difficult, but we will continue via phone and mail,” Ehrich said. “We intend to send letters to potential sponsors and follow up with phone calls.”
Ehrich said he participated in a video conference call last week with district leadership, and that Club Excellence and Lt. Governor trainings (Division 74 needs a new Lt. Governor, he said) have been postponed and “will likely be done in a virtual/online manner,” Ehrich said.
As the outgoing club president, Ehrich – who said he’s committed to being an active past president and assisting the new president – is also looking ahead to next year: “We’re looking for new skills and abilities, along with new preferences,” he said. “We need new perspectives among our leadership.”
Despite having “no discernible end to the current (COVID-19) situation in the near future,” Ehrich said it’s an exciting time to be a member of this growing community service organization: “We have some interesting things going on in Kiwanis, and we have a club up north that now has over 1,000 friends in their social media group,” he said.
