Two Pleasant Hill wrestlers earn state titles

A pair of Pleasant Hill wrestlers earned individual state titles at the state 3A tournament in Portland.
Titus Rice (145), a transfer from Creswell, earned his third trip to the top of the awards stand with a 16-3 decision, 2:51 pin and 10-3 decision.
Ashley Ruchti (160) won a state title with 3:30 and 2:27 pins followed by 9-5 and 10-3 decisions.
Jack O’Connor (113) and Jacob Pray (132) placed sixth.
O’Connor reached the semi finals with a 1:38 pin and 4-0 decision while Pray also advanced to the semis with 12-1 and 5-0 decisions.
Also representing the Billies at state were Skylar Peters (138), Logan Parrish (160), Kellen Parrish (220) and Gavin Cantamessa (285).
