Ringing in the New Year at Elite Game Spot

This year, teens, tweens and even a few dads gathered at Elite Game Spot’s New Year’s Eve Bash. The event sold out, and admittance was through pre-purchased ticket only.
The evening began with a line of anticipation at the door, waiting for the doors to open at 9 p.m. Guests filed in, as excitement filled the air with a youthful energy. With over 20 people in attendance, the evening ran a little differently than the open flow regulars are used to.
There were mini tournaments offered. Gamers had the option to play in them throughout the night. Tournaments included: Mortal combat, NBA2K19, Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart. There were also systems that were designated to ”free play,” so gamers were able to play their favorite game of choice as well.
The party room began with a battle of rocket league on the 90-inch projector. Quickly, that evolved into a mini dance party room, as one of the guests took over as DJ for the evening. There were also party games in the main room. Guests were given raffle tickets throughout the evening for winning games and tournament.
As midnight approached, everyone gathered to the party room with cups of sparkling cider in hand as the countdown began. The room was full of excitement as the countdown began, 5, 4, 3, 2, O-N-E! They all shouted, ”Happy New Year” and gathered in the main room to see if they won one of the many raffle prizes. Elite Game Spot handed out action figures, Magic Cards, Pokémon Cards, a day pass, a few free hour passes, as well as random small snack prizes. The night finished with more gaming fun as they waited for parents to arrive, as the event ended at 1 a.m.
It was a night of fun and memories.
