CECIL ”LEE” PRICE – DEC. 29, 1953-DEC, 27, 2019

Cecil ”Lee” Price passed away on Dec. 27, 2018 at his home in Creswell after a long battle with cancer.
Lee was born on Dec. 29, 1953 in Detroit, Mich. to Cecil and Maggie Price.
He spent 13 years in the Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant, earning a Marksman Rifle Badge, a Good Conduct Medal 4th Award, and a Sharpshooter Pistol Badge. He also earned the nickname ”Gunny.”
Cecil then moved to Oregon where he met his wife, Ann. They were married in December 1992 while attending the University of Oregon. Lee was a retail manager for 21 years, working for WalMart and Bed Bath & Beyond before taking his most rewarding job working with special needs children at Creswell Middle School.
He was an active member of New Hope Baptist church in Creswell. He loved to golf, fish, target shoot, play his guitar and sing, as well as be part of the praise team. Lee was a wonderful, kind and patient man who left behind many who loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann (Pardun) Price; sons, James (Stacy) Price, Justin (Heather) Dobson, and Michael (Juliette) James; grandchildren, Stephanie Price, Kayla Dobson, Jace Dobson, Josiah Isley, and Hayden James; and one great-grandson, Atlas Kerr. He is also survived by his mother, Maggie Pittman of Lexington, Ky.; sister, Debi (Steve) Gilham of Lexington, Ky.; and brother, Daniel (Lori) Price of Richmond, Ky.
Other family members are Dee and Mary Pardun, Bill and Pat Pardun, Bob and Kathy Pardun, Linda Pardun, Jeannette and Dan Armstrong, Steve Pardun, Joe Wilkins and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Creswell.
