LEOTA MAE KLEIN – AUG. 3, 1913- DEC. 24, 2018

Leota Mae Klein passed away peacefully on Dec. 24, 2018 at the age of 105.
She was born in Walla Walla, Wash., on Aug. 3, 1913 to Walter K. and Anna L. Jenkins. She had a younger brother, Max, and a younger sister, Delores, all deceased.
Leota married Cecil Q. Klein on June 11, 1931 and celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary before his passing on Jan. 9, 2007.
Leota lived in Walla Walla most of her life, and worked as manager of the gift department at Drumheller Co. until retirement. In 1994, she and Cecil moved to Creswell to be closer to family. Her life had been filled with loving family and friends, and her faith in God had been her inspiration throughout her life. She was a member of the Creswell Nazarene Church.
Survivors include daughters, Nadine (Sid) Dean of Creswell, and Muriel Bible of Broomfield, Colo.; a son, David Klein of Federal Way, Wash. She had six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
At her request there will not be a service at this time, but instead there will be a family gathering in August to celebrate her life.
A special thank you to Lutje Adult Foster Home in Creswell for the wonderful care of Leota in the last years of her life.
