Two Lady Dawgs earn All-State soccer nods

Allison Smathers, a senior midfielder, and Tabetha Donovan, a senior goalkeeper, have been tapped to represent the Creswell Lady Bulldogs on the 2018 3A/2A/1A All-State Girls’ Soccer roster.
Smathers was named to the 3A/2A/1A All-State First Team – the only public-school player honored – while Donovan received All-State Honorable Mention.
Sophie Ward, a sophomore midfielder from Catlin Gabel, was named the 3A/2A/1A State Player of the Year. Ally Priest, a senior from Catlin Gabel, was named 3A/2A/1A State Goalkeeper of the Year.
Joining Ward, Priest and Smathers on the 2018 3A/2A/1A All-State Girls’ Soccer First Team were Meghan Michels, a senior forward from St. Mary’s; Ann Louise Naito, a junior forward from Catlin Gabel; Maddie Wheelock, a senior forward from St. Mary’s; Joanna Cloutier, a senior defender from Oregon Episcopal; Emily Ford, a senior midfielder from Oregon Episcopal; Olivia Giannini, a senior midfielder from Oregon Episcopal; Brianna Anaya, a senior midfielder from Blanchet Catholic; and Annika Holliday, a junior midfielder from Catlin Gabel.
Named to the 3A/2A/1A All-State Second Team were Lauren Elmore, a senior goalkeeper from Blanchet Catholic; Anna Serna, a senior midfielder from Brookings Harbor; Thea Traw, a sophomore defender from Catlin Gabel; Grace Weber, a senior defender from St. Mary’s; Madisyn Hartley, a senior midfielder from Nyssa; Emma Sadle, a senior midfielder from Catlin Gabel; Kendall Killian, a sophomore midfielder from Oregon Episcopal; Lilah King-Hails, a senior defender from Catlin Gabel; Braelyn Day, a junior defender from Cascade Christian; Mickey Fulton, a senior defender from Brookings Harbor; Nele Carolus, a senior forward from Yamhill-Carlton; and Rachel Lowell, a senior midfielder from Oregon Episcopal.
Receiving 3A/2A/1A All-State Honorable Mention along with Donovan were Kyla Pires, a junior goalkeeper from South Umpqua; Cynthia Gonzalez, a senior goalkeeper from Nyssa; Estrella Daltoso, a senior defender from Riverside; Sadie Horne, a senior defender from Yamhill-Carlton; Annika Hess, a senior forward from Western Christian/Perrydale; Audrey Quast, a senior goalkeeper from Cascade Christian; Ana Ortiz, a senior defender from Taft; and Makenna David, a senior forward from Santiam Christian.
Catlin Gabel Head Coach Chris Dorough was named the 3A/2A/1A Coach of the Year.
