Community Blessings – The Knox’s

First and foremost for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Second are our family members, friends and our Creswell Heritage.
Diana is a Creswell girl, her parents were Wes & Uldine (Dean) Hoover Chapman, who both attended Creswell Schools (Class of 1943); they were High School Sweethearts. Wes became a Sailor and they married during World War II. After the War they Raised their four children, Diana, Donna, Larry and Marvin in Creswell. While being heavily involved in the community, Wes and other WWII Veterans obtained the Charter and built the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall. Later, Wes served two terms on the Creswell City Council. Uldine was active in the VFW Axillary and wrote articles for The Chronicle.
Glenn too has Creswell roots. His mother Ruth Kirkpatrick Knox was born in Creswell in the Doctor’s clinic, which was located on the Northwest Corner of Oregon Ave and 4th Street. The building is still there and now is a private a residence. Ruth, a member of the Class of 1942, too received her education through Creswell Schools. After High School, during the War, she worked for the City of Eugene and too married her High School Sweetheart, also a Sailor, Cliff Knox of Deerhorn. He has been a wonderful loving Husband and father to Glenn and Carol. They have been married 74 years, and are still living alone on their farm in Southern Idaho.
Thirdly, we are thankful for the Creswell Citizens who we were entrusted to serve for nearly 30 years as we managed England’s Creswell Memorial Chapel.
In Conclusion, as we enjoy retirement we are thankful for our health.
