Eight members of the Creswell Bulldogs boys’ soccer team have been honored with spots on Special District 3’s All-League teams for the 2018 season.
Senior defender Nick Bronson, senior midfielder/forward Avel Garcia-Fetter and junior defender Rogelio Legorreta were named to the First Team; sophomore midfielder/forward Cam Nguyen, senior forward Julian Nuñez and senior midfielder/forward Christian Tucker were named to the Second Team; and senior defender Kobe Sanders and senior goalkeeper Jaxson Wilkerson received Honorable Mention.
Patrick Otis, a senior defender from Santiam Christian, was named Special District 3 Player of the Year.
Joining Otis, Bronson, Garcia-Fetter and Legorreta on the First Team were Santiam Christian junior, Ben Galceran; East Linn Christian junior, Kody Jones; East Linn Christian junior, Jake Vandehey; East Linn Christian senior, Matt Reardon; Pleasant Hill senior, Dylan Hammond; Central Linn (coed) junior, Colton Running; Jefferson senior, Gavin Robertson; and goalkeeper Winn Miller, a senior from Santiam Christian.
Named to the Second Team along with Nguyen, Nuñez and Tucker were Santiam Christian senior, Kyler Goezler; Santiam Christian senior, Brennan Sorah; Santiam Christian junior Josh Verdeyen; East Linn Christian sophomore, Jaren Bowler; East Linn senior, Shunsuke Yamashina; Pleasant Hill junior, Omani Perkins; Pleasant Hill freshman Owen Hammond; Central Linn (coed) senior Jessica Neal; Central Linn (coed) junior Waylon Logan; and goalkeeper Tristan Barrett, a senior from Pleasant Hill.
Receiving Honorable Mention along with Sanders and Wilkerson were Santiam Christian junior, Chase Groome; East Linn Christian senior, Ben Johnson; Jefferson junior, Pablo Segovia; Jefferson sophomore, Abe Cortez; Jefferson sophomore, Eli Shumate; Central Linn (coed) sophomore, Zaul Mendoza; La Pine senior, Logan Clark; La Pine junior, Tyler Sechler; La Pine junior, Luca Baiguini; La Pine senior, Trenton Tennant; and goalkeeper JC Erickson, a freshman from Central Linn (coed).
Ernesto Aguilar, head coach of the League Champion Santiam Christian Eagles, was named Special District 3 Coach of the Year.
