One of the tastiest Oktoberfest events is set for this Saturday, Sept. 29 at The Brewstation in Cottage Grove and run all day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
German beer, old world, and Northwest-style beers will be served along with the German beer company, Aylinger, who will be doing a Tap Takeover. There will be Hammerschlagen games and a Black Forest German logger game, with prizes for the winners.
Aside from German beers, true authentic German food will be served. Locally sourced sausages from Holly Ranch include almost-footlong knockwursts and bratwursts served in buns or as part of a Bavarian plate, with salt and vinegar potato salad and house made apple kraut.
A smoked sausage German stew and Bavarian house-made pretzels will also be part of the German menu served with a beer cheese sauce or a cream cheese cinnamon and sugar dip.
Live music starts at 7:30 p.m. and will feature German-style music.
Other specials include: Brewstation Oktoberfest Tankard with fill for $12; Brewstation Oktoberfest Tankard with fill and men’s Brewstation Oktoberfest T-shirt for $30; Brewstation Oktoberfest Tankard with fill and women’s Brewstation Oktoberfest T-shirt for $27; and Oktoberfest food specials ranging from $3.50 to $12.
