Creswell Grangers set up and manned ”The Missing Man Table” in recognition of National MIA/POW Day on Friday, Sept. 21 at Creswell Bi-Mart.
The United States’ National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed across the nation on the third Friday of September each year. Many Americans take the time to remember those who were prisoners of war (POW) and those who are missing in action (MIA), as well as their families.
Creswell and Lorane Grange Member and Oregon State Grange District Veterans Chairman Mike Cantrell manned a Table at the Eugene VA Clinic. Creswell Grange Veterans Chair Patrick Dearth and Creswell Grange Chaplain Dottie Jennings manned The Missing Man Table at Creswell Bi-Mart.
”We will never forget service and sacrifice,” Creswell Grange President Martin McClure said. ”We will always advocate the return of remains for family closure. God bless and thank you for your service!”
