Jacob Laskey
A Creswell man pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon on Sept. 11 at Lane County Circuit Court, following a stabbing in town earlier this year.
Lane County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jacob Albert Laskey, 38, of Creswell on Jan. 19 after stabbing his friend Devin Reid Wolfe, 41, of Creswell, in his hand during a dispute at Creswell Mobile Home Park. Wolfe reportedly underwent surgery for the stabbing injury.
Laskey and his family operate Wolfclan Armory, a military surplus store that relocated from 287 S. Front St. in Creswell to Cottage Grove in March 2018.
Laskey had been in jailed since the incident at the mobile home park. His plea came one day before his scheduled trial, according to court records.
Lane County Circuit Court Judge Valeri handed Laskey a concurrent sentence of six months at the Lane County Jail; 30 months in state prison at the Oregon Department of Corrections, counting time-served; and 24 months of post-prison supervision, court records show.
The third count for second degree criminal trespass was dismissed, according to court records.
It was ordered that Laskey not be considered for any form of temporary leave from custody, reduction in sentence, work release or any other form of supervised release.
If Laskey violates conditions of post-prison supervision, he will be subject to the possibility of additional imprisonment, according to court records.
Laskey was on federal probation at the time of his arrest at Creswell Mobile Home Park in January.
In January 2016 Laskey was released from federal prison following a conviction for his role in a 2002 incident in which he and other members of Volksfront, a now-defunct neo-Nazi group, threw swastika-engraved rocks through windows at Temple Beth Israel in Eugene while 80 members were attending a religious service, according to prosecutors.
In 2006, Laskey pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy and damaging religious property, in addition to soliciting the murder of a witness, soliciting a bomb threat against the federal courthouse and being a felon in possession of a weapon, according to court records.
