Creswell

What’s up with Creswell Heritage Foundation?

— Creswell Heritage Foundation (CHF) is waiting to hear back from grantors about their requests for funding to replace the foundation and porch of the old schoolhouse. Those results will be announced in October, November and December. If successful, that work will be done early next year.
— Susan Licht, historic preservation architect, is wrapping up the construction documents for that project. She will present that at the CHF board meeting on Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Creswell Library West Wing. The meeting is open to the public and questions are encouraged. It would be helpful to know who plans to attend so we can arrange space.
— CHF is having a party to celebrate the nonprofit’s first two years of effort and success with those who have helped us, and those who might. Details will be announced in early October, but there will be a cocktail hour. Location will be announced at a later date.
— CHF has changed its schedule of regular board meetings from Tuesdays to the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. at the Creswell Library. The public is encouraged to attend.
— The CHF website was recently launched and can be found at www.creswellheritagefoundation.org.
