Lifeguard and Instructor Hiring Event

4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1 at Willamalane Park Swim Center

Learn about lifeguard and swim instructor roles and meet the aquatics team! The event begins with a short overview of the positions, including details about training and certifications, followed by a swim test. Participants may receive a job offer at the end of the event.

Willamalane pays for all necessary training and certifications.

Candidates must be at least 15 years old and should bring a swimsuit and towel to the event. Register in advance at willamalane.org/jobs

Both full-time and part-time employees receive benefits at Willamalane:

-Flexible scheduling.
-Paid sick leave.
-Annual cost of living increase as approved by the Willamalane Board of Directors.
-3% increase upon successful completion of initial probationary period and then annually thereafter (as approved by the Board).
-Double time pay for any hours worked on district-designated holidays.
-Extra $1 per hour for those who pass an American Sign Language (ASL) or Spanish language competency test.
-Free fitness classes and use of Willamalane pools for lap and recreation swims.
-Free use of the Bob Keefer Center and Willamalane Park Swim Center fitness centers. Household members may visit for a monthly fee.
-50% discount on selected Willamalane child care programs.
-25% discount on selected recreation programs and rentals.
