Flood maps—officially called Flood Insurance Rate Maps—show areas at high, moderate, or low risk of flooding. They guide community planning, development, and insurance requirements. With improved data and mapping technology, these updated maps more accurately reflect local flood risk. For some property owners, this may mean new requirements for flood insurance.

At the Open House, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Meet one-on-one with FEMA specialists and local staff

  • Learn how the map revisions may affect your property and neighborhood

  • Ask questions about flood insurance requirements and options

  • Understand steps you can take to reduce risk and protect your home and family

Whether you own property, rent, or simply want to learn more about flood safety in our community, this event is a valuable opportunity to connect with experts and get the facts.
