Outdoors on Fountain Plaza

In partnership with Native Youth Wellness Program of Lane ESD, Springfield Public Schools, and Transponder

Enjoy an interactive experience with Shuína Skó, a citizen of the Klamath Tribes, as they share their ancestral language, culture, and spoken word poetry. This performance will entertain and engage all ages through modern storytelling of some traditional cultural knowings. Shuína will explain how poetry and storytelling are tied to both the historical and present-day ways of Indigenous people. The audience will also be invited to participate in a game to learn words from the Klamath language that are woven into the storytelling performance.

Join Food for Lane County at 11:30 a.m., immediately following this event on the Fountain Plaza for a free lunch for kids and teens ages 1 – 18. No strings attached! Available while the supply lasts.
