Since the start of the pandemic, I have been more patient. I’m home a lot, and I tend to projects with a steadier focus. There have been fewer “expletives deleted” when something doesn’t go right because I have time to deal with it.

Finding that ‘safe haven’ to escape
I grew up on a small farm in the hills just east of Newport, Ore. Dad worked at the bank in town but mom and dad both thought it would be good for four energetic boys to have a place to roam, and learn the responsibility of raising animals.

New fire station plans ‘on ice’
CRESWELL — South Lane County Fire & Rescue will not be pursuing the bond measure for the proposed new fire station in Creswell in November, Division Chief Joe Raade said on Tuesday, citing financial impacts because of the Coronavirus.

When Alisa Kounovsky first started the bottle drive in June, her goal was to fill her truck. On day one, not only did they overload five trucks, but they had one day where they received 15 truckloads of cans. In the first two, three hour canned/Bottle collections, they earned $4,617.45.
