SPRINGFIELD — During a rare break in the Oregon winter weather, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints broke ground at the new Willamette Valley Oregon Temple in a sunny ceremony late last month. The new Temple will be constructed on a 10.5-acre plot of land at the intersection of International Boulevard and Corporate Way.
"Temples for us are even more meaningful and more sacred places where we're able to make what we call covenants with God to remind ourselves of why we're here," Eugene stake president Brant Cooper said . . .
